Currently, he serves as the Director of Operations at the National ID Program (NIDP) of Ethiopia, where he leads the nationwide rollout of the Fayda registration, the foundational digital identification system forming a core part of the nation’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).

Prior to this role, he built his career at Hawassa University’s Institute of Technology, where he served as an academician and held institutional leadership positions, including Head of Department and Program Coordinator.

He holds a Master of Science degree (Cum Laude) in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation, specializing in Water Resources and Environmental Management, from the University of Twente (ITC), Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Science in Irrigation and Water Resources Engineering from Hawassa University.
