Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, Addis Ababa University, where she primarily teaches International Economic Law, Investment Law, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Prior to this role, she served as Legal Director at Mehrteab and Getu Advocates LLP, and held several academic leadership positions at Addis Ababa University School of Law, including Associate Dean, Assistant Dean, and Lecturer. She also worked as a Senior Trade Lawyer at the USAID WTO Accession Plus Project, engaged in various research and consultancy services, and previously served as an Assistant Judge at the Federal First Instance Court.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. iur.) from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, an LL.M. from the University of the Western Cape, and both LL.M. and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degrees from Addis Ababa University.
