Development Bank of Ethiopia Holds Talks with Belgium–Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Industry and Agriculture

The Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) held a discussion with the Belgium–Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce for Industry and Agriculture, focusing on strengthening business ties and fostering mutual cooperation.
The discussions centered on creating opportunities to bring major companies from Belgium and Luxembourg to Ethiopia, while also facilitating the entry of Ethiopian companies into those European markets. Both sides explored ways to promote experience sharing, enhance business linkages, and identify areas of collaboration. The role of the Development Bank of Ethiopia in supporting these initiatives was also a key point of deliberation.
The meeting took place on , 2026, at the headquarters of the Development Bank of Ethiopia. Representing DBE were Ms. Aida Erkiyihun, Vice President for Wholesale Financing and External Funds; Mr. Yohannes Tilahun, Senior Advisor to the President; and Mr. Sirak Solomon, Senior Bond Advisor.
Mr. Thomas De Beule, Commercial Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Belgium–Luxembourg-Africa-Caribbean – Pacific, also attended the meeting.
The discussion marks an important step toward enhancing international partnerships and expanding investment opportunities between Ethiopia and the Belgium–Luxembourg business community.
