Currently, he serves as State Minister at the Ministry of Planning and Development. He has held several senior government leadership positions, including Social Cluster Coordinator with the rank of Vice President at the Amhara Regional State, Vice President and Head of Training at the African Excellence Leadership Academy, and Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC).

He also served as General Manager and Deputy General Manager of the Amhara Mass Media Agency, Zonal Administrator of South Wollo, and held various leadership positions in the Wag Himra Administrative Zone.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bahir Dar University, an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Bedfordshire (United Kingdom), a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Addis Ababa University, and a Diploma in Leadership from the Center for African Leadership Development.
